Mr. Ting served as the president (2010-2015), and he formally joined Shin Shin Educational Foundation in 2002.<\/p>\n
Over the years, Mr. Ting participated in a number of non-profit and service organizations in the Bay Area, served as the president of the Cupertino Rotary Club, the chairman of the Northern California Chinese School Association, the principal of San Jose Berryessa Chinese School, Vice President of Pacific Neighbors (San Jose sister city organization), and board member of Cupertino Education Foundation, Northwest YMCA, Cupertino Historical Society, and Cupertino Library Foundation.<\/p>\n
Mr. Ting won many awards and honors because of his dedication to the community, including Cupertino City CREST (Cupertino Recognizes Extra Steps Taken) Award, Santa Clara Asian American Hero Award, Silicon Valley Charity Day Honor Award, and Cupertino City Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year Award.<\/p>\n
Mr. Ting also worked for the high-tech communications industry for nearly 30 years, served as the vice president of the multinational Canadian Nortel Networks Co., Ltd., and retired in 2000. He obtained the following degrees: Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from National Cheng Kung University, Master of Mathematics from Missouri State University, and Master of Computer Engineering from Cincinnati, Ohio University.<\/p>\n

Mr. Chau started his career in a consulting company in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 1977, he founded Universal Semiconductor in San Jose, California. In 1979, he served as the founding president of the influential AAMA (Asia America MultiTechnology Association) in Silicon Valley. Since 1984, he has been actively participating in various real estate projects in the United States and the Far Eastern countries. From 1992 to 1997, he served as the CEO of one of the largest and most diversified construction and real estate companies in Taiwan. Since 1997, he has been actively participating in Internet investment. Mr. Chau graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a master’s degree in business administration.<\/p>\n

Mr. Yingmin Li received a Bachelor degree of Electronic Engineering from South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, and a Master degree of Electronic Engineering from San Jose State University. He has been working in integrated circuit research and development and entrepreneurship in Silicon Valley for more than 25 years, providing services to companies including National Semiconductor, Lucent Technologies, and Nortel Networks. In 2011, Mr. Li founded Treasure Island Investment Company to engage in real estate development in the Bay Area. In 2014, Mr. Li established GSI eFOUNDATION, a 501.c(3) organization to support poor rural students to go to school in Heshan City, Guangdong.<\/p>\n

Dr. Yiqing Yang studied computer science for her undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral education. She obtained undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from Wuhan Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and a doctorate degree from Madame Curie University (also known as Paris Six). In the past 20 years, Dr. Yang has worked as a software engineer in many high-tech companies such as BMC and Objectivity in Silicon Valley. She joined Shin Shin Educational Foundation in 2014 as a volunteer coordinating the schools in Hubei and Shandong provinces. Since 2015, Dr. Yang has served as the lead of the school contact team and made great effort to reconnect with the schools that lost in contact. On July 1, 2018, Dr. Yang started to serve as the President.<\/p>\n

\nRoger was born in China and grew up in Korea. He went to the USA for his university education. Ms. Song Wang graduated from the Department of Physics of Peking University in 1994, and she received a master’s degree in physics from the California Institute of Technology. She came to the Bay Area in 1998 and worked for many high-tech companies including Netscreen Networks, Juniper Networks, and Palo Alto Networks until 2017. Through the Shin Shin Educational Foundation, Ms. Wang has learned of the expanding development gaps between urban and rural areas happening recently in China. The education resources for children in remote rural areas are far lower than those in cities, making it more and more difficult for them to compete after they grow up. Ms. Wang joined Shin Shin Educational Foundation to make contributions in promoting the balanced development of urban and rural education. She believes that improving education is the most important way to improve the future lives of children in remote and impoverished areas.\n<\/p>\n

To better meet her clients' business needs, Lin has passed all Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examinations in California, combining legal expertise with financial insight. Additionally, Lin has served as a project manager for a real estate development project in the East Bay.<\/p>\n
Lin has been a dedicated member of the ShinShin Educational Foundation since 2019, drawn to its inspiring mission and vision to improve access to quality education for children in rural China. Over the years, she has developed a deep appreciation for the foundation\u2019s unwavering commitment to bridging educational disparities and creating opportunities for underprivileged children to thrive. Mandy Ma brings a global perspective, strong adaptability, and exceptional social skills developed through years of living and working in China, the United States, and Malaysia. While pursuing her MBA in Silicon Valley, she actively engaged in both business and political initiatives. In 2014, Mandy led a team of 50 Chinese-American volunteers in support of a Cupertino City Council campaign. That same year, she joined the Shin Shin Educational Foundation, where she served in multiple roles, including University Program Director, Anhui Regional Director, and Assistant of the Chief Representative in Shin Shin Beijing Office.<\/p>\n
In 2018, Mandy became the Operations Director at the Qingdao Institute of Innovation, where she led efforts in technology transfer, innovation programs, and government partnerships. In 2021, she joined JD Property in Beijing as Director of Strategic Cooperation, focusing on building national-level partnerships with government bodies, business associations, and industrial chambers to support regional sales teams.<\/p>\n
Since 2023, Mandy has been serving as Vice General Manager of HCH Accelerate Platform (Haier Corp) and General Manager of Wuhu City for Haier Corporation in Anhui Province, continuing her mission to foster innovation and regional economic growth through strategic collaboration.<\/p>\n

Dr. Rita Zhou came to USA in 2011 after obtained her bachelor degree from Harbin
\nInstitute of Technology. Later she acquired her doctorate degree in Mechanical
\nEngineering from Lehigh University in 2015. Upon graduation, she had been working as
\na Product Design Engineer in industrial companies including Apple and Ford Motor
\nCompany. In her leisure time, Rita participated in various real estate investment
\nactivities.
\nFrom November 2022 on, Rita resigned from Apple and started her own humanitarian
\nwork including volunteering in an orphanage in South Africa, forming her own NGO to
\nraise funds for education initiative activities , as well as writing books of remote children.
\nRita started her own cross-border e-commerce trade business from September 2023
\nand would like to join Shin Shin Educational Foundation to dedicate herself more in

In the 1990s, Olin was inspired by the founding chairman of ShinShin Education Foundation, Dr.
\nJohn B. Tsu and witnessed the preparation and establishment of ShinShin, actively participating in
\nShinShin's charity activities, assisting Dr. Tsu with donation to ShinShin elementary School in China,
\nand visiting schools and children in rural areas.
\nOlin is charitable and altruistic. During the SARS epidemic, his company designed relevant
\nsequences and prepared antigens as the donations to the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.
\nAdditionally, at the height of the outbreak spread of HIV in China, Olin discussed cooperation with
\nDr. Robert C. Gallo & Dr. Robert R. Redfield, scientists at the Institute of Human Virology, to
\ndevelop an oral HIV vaccine for the purpose of preventing further outbreaks.
\nOlin used to engage in research related to occupational diseases at the Chinese Academy of
\nMedical Sciences. He then co-founded biotech companies in Silicon Valley. Olin currently serves
\non the board of directors for medical and semiconductor companies. He is now committed to
\nproviding equal educational opportunities for children in poverty-stricken areas.<\/p>\n

Ms. Yu started working as an entrepreneur since 2003 when she not only started her own company but also built a solid investment portfolio in social media, cyber security, environmental protection, semiconductor, and financial software industries.

With her great passion to create better school environment for rural area kids, she has been supporting hundreds of kids personally and with combined effort from Hunan SF association. With extensive working experiences in government and non-profit entities including China and US CDC, UNICEF Beijing Office and Stanford University, Ms. Jing Wang gained knowledge and experience in public health project design and evaluation through leading multiple projects serving disadvantaged communities and groups in remote and poor areas in China. She established GenWell Consulting Firm in 2018 to help young Chinese immigrants living in Silicon Valley to cultivate positive mindset and well-being at work and in life. In 2020, she co-founded GenWell Foundation which was dedicated to improving early childhood education with rural children library model in Yunnan Province.<\/p>\n
Joining ShinShin Educational Foudnation will allow Ms. Jing Wang to continue her passion to improve the rural education at the remote and poor areas in China, which is in line with the mission of ShinShin Educational Foundation. She also wish to user her knowledge and experience to help ShinShin to grow and sustain.<\/p>\n
Ms. Jing Wang graduated from Capital University of Medical Sciences with a BM and from Johns Hopkins University with a MPH. She also received EMBA degree recently.<\/p>\n

For more than a decade, Adam and his family have been passionate about the health and education issues of the next generation and underprivileged communities. They support and get involved with endeavors by Compassion International, Tahirih Justice Center, Undertakers In Action, Shanghai Healing Home, etc. to provide food, shelters, books and school opportunities to the needy children and youth in Asia, Africa and South America, sponsor heart and harelip surgeries to children in China, help the abused children and women seeking protection or asylum in the United States and etc.\u00a0 They advocate for and join efforts in early STEM education, anti-discrimination, civic engagement, and financial and legal literacy in the Asian American communities.<\/p>\n
Professionally, Adam is a well-respected lawyer in the international legal community.\u00a0In the past three decades, he has been consistently ranked by numerous reputable international institutions and authorities as a leading corporate lawyer.\u00a0 Adam has been a partner with JunHe LLP for more than 20 years.\u00a0 He was the key founder of another \u201cRed Circle\u201d Chinese law firm earlier in his career.\u00a0 Adam served as a former Vice-chair of the China Committee of American Bar Association, the International Section for many years, and was a former director of Shanghai Bar Association. Adam also teaches at a law school in China as an adjunct.<\/p>\n
