1. 1997Shin Shin Educational Foundation was established in San Francisco, CA. Mr. Zhongquan Shao was the first president.
  2. 1998The first Shin Shin school was built in Heilongjiang.
  3. 1999Officially registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in California USA.
  4. 2001Mr. David Tsang as President and Mr. Bingming Zhu as Chairman, Shin Shin was in a fast development.
  5. 2004100 Shin Shin schools were completed.
  6. 2005Mr. Sandy Chau as President and David Tsang as Chairman, 200 Shin Shin schools were completed. Began to donate computers to schools. Began a pilot training program for English Teachers.
  7. 2006Partnered with the Soar Foundation in scholarship program. Organized English teachers training in Hunan.
  8. 2007300 Shin Shin schools were completed. Began to implement the “One Book Per Child” literacy program.
  9. 2008Organized the first essay contest.
  10. 2009Began the “Reading Room” program. Partnered with Peking University in Summer University Outreach programs.
  11. 2010Mr. Steve Ting became the President. Began computer teachers training.
  12. 2013The Beijing Representative Office was approved by the Chinese government. Appointed Ms. Qing Bai as the Representative.
  13. 2014Partnered with Beijing Normal University to begin the first Shin Shin Principals Training. Established Endowment Fund.
  14. 2015Mr. Wen Yuan became the President. Established Shin Shin Youth Group. Appointed Mr. Steve Ting as the Representative.
  15. 2018Mr. Steve Ting became the Chairman and Ms. Yiqing Yang became the President. Began to share Shin Shin’s mission with like-minded people in China to support rural education. Established Beijing Xiang-Rong Foundation.
  16. 2019Shin Shin and all the volunteers won the 10th China Charity Model Award from the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the largest and most influential honor in China. Shin Shin is also the only overseas NGO that won the award.
