On the morning of January 23, 2017, the Non-Governmental Organization Management Office of Beijing Public Security Bureau hold ceremony for awarding certificates to overseas non-governmental organizations. The Beijing Representative Office of Shin Shin Educational Foundation (US) participated the ceremony, and received the new registration certificate issued by the Ministry of Public Security. Since January 1, 2017, the Law on Administration of Overseas Non-governmental Organizations Activities began taking effect. Shin Shin is one of the first organizations who received the new certificate. At this point, the administration office for Shin Shin Beijing Representative Office smoothly changed from the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office to the Ministry of Public Security. Shin Shin would like to thank Chinese Government, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Coucil, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Overseas Chinese Affairs offices, the Public Security System and the Educational System, appreciate for their full confidence and support to Shin Shin. Over the past two decades, with the supports and assistances, Shin Shin donated 346 schools in over 25,000 poor and remote areas in 25 provinces, benefiting more than 350,000 students and children.
Shin Shin not only concerned about the children’s hardware and software facilities, takes more care for their long-term life and learning situation. The main projects Shin Shin executed include: e-learning program; book plan; teacher training, training of principals, training of small subjects, on-line training and other activities; Rural left-behind children’s mental health and quality education activities; facility enhancements, such as buildings, playgrounds, dormitories, canteens, sanitation facilities, cultural and sports facilities; school building reconstructions and enhancements.
We have hundreds of volunteers in the United States. Many donors are from political and business circles, prominent overseas Chinese leaders and professionals. We gathered many overseas Chinese who love the motherland and care for their hometown. We also have a good reputation and influence to American local overseas Chinese community, and received recognition and respect from the local government and community.
As always, we are committed to the sustainable development of Shin Shin schools, fulfill their most urgent needs, benefit to the teachers and children. Our mission is to promote the balanced development of urban and rural areas by improving the quality of teaching software and hardware, renovating old buildings, promoting education quality.
